I am a former newspaper photojournalist with a passion for telling stories using photographs and video. The news environment taught me to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a high level of quality whether covering a community story, a professional sporting event, breaking news or a simple environmental  portrait. Working on a variety of assignments helped me develop an ability to discern the best way to approach a certain story from the interviews to the necessary images and b-roll, making post-production and the editing process more efficient. The skills I gained working for the news media are now being applied in my new career in marketing. Photojournalism as a skill set has allowed me to grow as a content creator, increasing my ability to tell more compelling stories.
